About Joe

Joe is a tall, homegrown Minnesota boy from the northwoods, with brown eyes, brown hair, broad shoulders, and an even broader range of interests. Recently displaced from the northwoods of Minnesota to the California coast for school, he is now a proactive speaker, scientist, writer, teacher, and entrepreneur.

He's a laid-back perfectionist, a to-the-point imaginative thinker, a cautious adventurer, a skeptical believer, and a spontaneous planner with a sense of curious wisdom, serious humor, audacious modesty, extroverted introversion, and logical intuition.

Joe bending steel

His favorite things to do are: bending steel with his sister (see picture), reading, writing, rithmetic, speaking, sailing, swimming, running, science, wine drinking, basketball, golf, kayaking, art, windsurfing, tennis, dancing, researching, cycling, volleyball, teaching, cooking, eating, racquetball, ping pong, rowing, weightlifting, hiking, exploring, shopping, getting lost, thinking, meditating, yoga, kickboxing, people-watching, bowling, and making a big pot of minestrone soup to eat for the next three days.

One of Joe's mottos is "Think Big And Take Baby Steps."

His role model is Leonardo Da Vinci.

Joe believes that science can change people's lives for the better, and that's why he's written articles about some of these groundbreaking studies.
